Public Exhibition 6th July 2014

A public exhibition was held in the main marquee on the day after the Fun Day, 6th July. Displays showing different aspects of an NDP and how it might affect Mortimer were displayed.The Steering Group and volunteers were on hand to talk to members of the public. The displays included panels on particular subjects with a variety of ideas for policies; those attending were given coloured stickers to indicate the three ideas on each panel they considered the most important for Mortimer and the one that they were most against; post-its to record comments on each panel were also available. About 80 people attended.

Over the following three weeks, the exhibition was re-displayed in stages in the largest shop in Mortimer, Budgens. Two subjects at a time were displayed for about 5 days and cards were provided for people to leave comments.

After all the panels had been exhibited in Budges, all the stickers were counted and the comments from both events recorded; the following summary and analysis was produced:
