From the 14th February an exhibition was held in the old Budgens shop showing how the NDP has developed and providing vistors with various ways of commenting. The exhibition was manned by members of the Steering Group and members of the volunteer team. The timetable of opening was:

On arriving visitors were asked to insert a pin on a large map of Stratfield Mortimer to indicate where in the village they live. A series of panels showed some of the possible options which could be included in the NDP for each subject and outlined the pros and cons. A postcard with questions and space for comments was provided for each subject. Visitors could complete the postcards on the spot or return them at a later time (cards can be returned to a box in Budgens shop when the exhibition is closed up till 8th March). Photocopied handouts of the displays were available to take away.

During the discussion sessions participants sat round a table with a member of the Steering Group facilitating the discussion and answering questions. Another member of the team recorded the ideas and questions raised.
